Auto Wallis expanding into Slovenia

Auto Wallis plans to take over Slovenia’s largest specialist BMV car retailer, the car distributor and maintenance company announced on the stock exchange website on Monday.

Auto Wallis is buying A-Cosmos dealership in Ljubljana, the only BMW retailer in the Slovenian capital.

Local subsidiary Wallismotor Ljubljana will also provide maintenance services for BMW and Mini models.

The acquisition marks Auto Wallis’ first entry into a retail market abroad, achieving a strategic goal set last year, said CEO Gábor Ormosy.

Auto Wallis already provides long-term car hire services in Slovenia.

The group is active in 14 countries in car parts distribution, maintenance services and car hire.
