Free IT courses popular

Some 15,000 people registered for the eight-week long free IT courses offered by the government on its first day after opening, Innovation and Technology Ministry state secretary László György told state television.

The courses are part of the government’s Economy Protection Plan.

Due to the epidemic, many people have lost their jobs temporarily and have free time now, György said, adding that this situation can be used to improve their digital knowledge, making them resilient to any crisis in the 21st century.

Those who complete the courses will be able to set up a website for a business or conduct a campaign in social media, György highlighted.
