Revolut phases out commodity trading in Hungary

Revolut is discontinuing its commodity-trading services for Hungarian customers from Wednesday, without prior notice, fintech news site Revb reported.

The restrictions apply exclusively to users in Hungary. Customers can no longer place new buy orders or increase existing positions.

Those already holding commodities can sell their holdings through the Revolut app until January 4, 2027, with all associated selling fees waived during the transition period.

New customers are no longer able to sign up for the service.

The withdrawal affects trading in gold, silver and other precious metals, which had been available to Hungarian Revolut users for several years.
