Pizza Hut plans two new outlets

Pizza Hut plans to open a franchise restaurant in Nagykanizsa in the first quarter of 2027 and a company-operated outlet in Budapest in the second half, AmRest, which operates the chain in Hungary, told MTI on Friday.
The openings would bring the network to 31 restaurants, including 23 company-operated units and eight franchises.
The Nagykanizsa unit, which will open with a staff of around 10, requires a minimum investment of Ft 100 million under a franchise agreement lasting at least 10 years, as in every other similar partnership.
AmRest said it has continuously assessed expansion opportunities in towns and cities with at least 50,000 residents, including surrounding areas, as part of its strategy since 2023, when it opened its first franchise unit in Szeged.
The exact location of the planned Budapest restaurant has not yet been finalised, but it will be a “large” unit, the company added.
AmRest also operates KFC and Starbucks in Hungary, generating net revenue of Ft 83.8 billion last year, up from Ft 75.7 billion in 2024, boosting net profit to Ft 5.6 billion from Ft 4.9 billion.
The company expects moderate, healthy growth this year.
