Vasarely exhibition closes on Sunday

The Vasarely 120 exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts is open to visitors until Sunday.

So far, more than 50,000 people have seen the exhibition which presents the life’s work of Viktor Vasarely, a pioneer of Op Art, who gained world fame in France.

The museum will open at 9 a.m., an hour earlier than usual, on Saturday and Sunday, and on Saturday will remain open until 7 p.m., instead of 6 p.m.

More than 140 works of art, photographs and never-before-seen movies depict Vasarely’s work.

The Műcsarnok staged a similar exhibition of his art in 1969.

The anniversary Vasarely year continues at the Óbuda Vasarely Museum from September 16, where a renewed permanent exhibition will await visitors.
