So far, more than 50,000 people have seen the exhibition which presents the life’s work of Viktor Vasarely, a pioneer of Op Art, who gained world fame in France. The museum will open at 9 a.m., an hour earlier than usual, on Saturday and Sunday, and on Saturday will remain open until 7 p.m., instead of 6 p.m. More than 140 works of art, photographs and never-before-seen movies depict Vasarely’s work. The Műcsarnok staged a similar exhibition of his art in 1969. The anniversary Vasarely year continues at the Óbuda Vasarely Museum from September 16, where a renewed permanent exhibition will await visitors.
