Pop star to be honoured with statue
Miklós Fenyő, a legendary figure of Hungarian rock and roll, who died earlier this year, will be honoured with a statue in Budapest’s 13th District.
According to plans, the life-size statue will be erected in Szent István Park, district mayor József Tóth wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
Tóth said the statue will be unveiled on March 12, 2027, Fenyő’s 80th birthday.
Fenyő passed away on January 31.
