Telekom IT workers to stage protest over pay offer
Employees of Deutsche Telekom ITTC Hungary, part of Deutsche Telekom, will hold a short demonstration on Wednesday morning in four Hungarian cities, in protest at the company’s proposed wage increase.
The protest, organised by the union IKSZ, will take place simultaneously in Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs and Szeged between 8:15 and 8:45 a.m.
Union president Zsolt Tamás Nagy emphasised that the protest is not a strike but an awareness-raising step ahead of possible further labour action.
The union has 987 members, including around 500 at the ITTC Hungary unit.
