BKK introduces mandatory tracking app for taxis
The Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) has launched TaxiTrack, a digital platform designed to support safer and more transparent taxi services in the city, which became mandatory for all taxi operators on June 1.
The move follows regulations that entered into force on January 1, 2025, requiring private taxi service providers to supply BKK with real-time operational data, including vehicle location and the start and end of taximeter use.
