Russian spy expelled from Hungary

Artur Sushkov left Hungary on May 4 after Hungary expelled him quietly according to an article posted by VSquare.
The Constitutional Protection Office discovered that he worked as a diplomat at the Russian embassy in Budapest for years as a spy collecting information about pro-government institutes.
The Hungarian intelligence service proposed his expulsion in February but it was prevented by the Orbán cabinet.
The 36-year-old Sushkov worked as the third secretary at the Russian embassy in Budapest, staying in Hungary with his wife, who worked officially at the Diplomacy Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
His activity concentrated on organisations which had been overseen by Balázs Orbán, political director of the outgoing prime minister and the head of the Fidesz election campaign.
These were the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC), the Foreign Affairs Institute, and the John Lukacs Institute at the National Public Service University.
