Wáberer transfers Ft 100mn to Iványi community
Entrepreneur György Wáberer told Telex that he has transferred Ft 100 million to Gábor Iványi’s community to help reopen 13 educational centres previously shut down under the Fidesz government.
His statement came after Péter Magyar announced that the Tisza Party would return a total of Ft 100 million (five donations of Ft 20 million) that Wáberer had donated to the party during the final days of the election campaign.
The trucking magnate “came out” in support of Tisza a few days before the elections, posting on Facebook, “on April 12, you will decide whether you want to belong to Europe or the Russians.”
He added that he did not seek meetings with Magyar or incoming government figures, but remains open to sharing his experience if asked.
