Turkish food maker opts for Orosháza

Turkish food processor Dogus Cay will establish its first manufacturing facility outside Turkey in Orosháza, Békés county.

The Ft 42 billion investment received a state grant of Ft 8.3 billion, as it is expected to generate 440 jobs, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said at the ceremony.

Dogus Cay will produce potato chips, corn flakes, and iced tea and process 200,000 tons of potatoes and 50,000 tons of corn annually.

Globally, the company processes 2 million tons of raw materials annually and works with 70,000 farmers, said Szijjártó.

Dogus Cay plans to source 90% of its input from Hungarian suppliers and to export 85% of its products, Szijjártó said.
