Hungarian soldiers leave Iraq

The Hungarian soldiers and diplomats stationed at the military base in Erbil have left Iraq due to the deterioration of the security situation, armed forces chief of staff Gábor Böröndi announced on Saturday.
Staff of Hungary’s consulate general in Erbil left Iraq with the soldiers.
Böröndi said everybody has reached Turkey safe and sound, and they will be flown to Hungary on an armed forces airplane.
Since the start of the military operation launched by the US and Israel against Iran, several Iranian missile and drone attacks have struck the Iraqi bases where the international forces are stationed.
