Nearly 1,000 returned from Middle East

Nearly 1,000 people have managed to return to Hungary from the Middle East since war broke out in the region on February 28, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Tuesday in Budapest.
The government continues to organise evacuation flights, although Hungarians in Dubai can now also return on scheduled services, as Flydubai and Emirates each operate one daily flight to Budapest.
Airspace in the region remains partly restricted due to ongoing fighting and continued missile attacks.
So far, 989 people, including 892 Hungarian citizens, have been brought home on government-organised flights.
The latest two flights arrived from Muscat at dawn with a total of 180 passengers.
Another evacuation flight from Dubai is scheduled for Tuesday on a chartered Flydubai aircraft carrying 166 passengers.
For the rest of the week, Hungarians in Dubai will again be offered organised bus transport to Muscat, the capital of Oman, from where at least one further evacuation flight will depart, with additional flights planned if demand requires.
