Airport rail contract could be awarded soon
The concession tender for the construction and operation of a high-speed rail link to Budapest’s international airport could be announced as early as January, Telex reports.
Under the current timetable, bidders would have roughly a month to submit applications.
The Economy Ministry, which is overseeing the process, would then enter into negotiations with the three strongest bidders or consortia. Allowing two months for that, Telex writes, then the final decision could be made before the parliamentary election.
