Magyar asks for ban of anti-Tisza edition of Bors

Tisza Party leader Péter Magyar wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday that he had asked the Capital Court on Monday to ban “the gutter government paper called Bors with immediate effect from spreading total lies at taxpayers’ expense in four million copies”.

It was reported on Tuesday that a special edition of the Fidesz-affiliated tabloid, devoted to discrediting the Tisza party, would be delivered to four million households.

Magyar said several courts had ruled earlier that government propaganda spreads total lies about his party.

The court must rule immediately, he said, as a ruling weeks from now that every word of the publication is a lie cannot remove the publication from mailboxes.

In response, the editorial staff of Bors said Magyar’s actions are reminiscent of the darkest reflexes of dictatorships, and evoke the worst periods of Nazism and Communism.
