Commissioner vows to shut drug dens
Venues and shops where illegal drugs are distributed or consumed could be shut down for up to three months, government commissioner for the abolition of drug trafficking László Horváth announced on Tuesday.
Stressing that police have been given an extremely strong instrument in combating drugs, he said “We have made it clear that there is no compromise in the fight against drugs”.
Police carried out a large-scale drug raid in the Dejo club in the VIP section of the Ötkert nightclub in downtown Pest.
Police checked the IDs of 211 people and detained 49 to provide samples for drug tests, of whom 16 tested positive.
