The company told website Mfor that profitable operation is unrealistic under current market conditions. MOL acquired ReMat, Hungary’s leading plastic-recycling firm, in 2022. The company with 200 employees processes up to 25,000 tons of plastic annually, and maintains production sites in Tiszaújváros and Rakamaz, along with a logistics centre in Bratislava. ReMat reported a Ft 1.3 billion loss from revenue of Ft 4.1 billion in 2023, followed by a Ft 556 million loss from revenue of Ft 3.7 billion last year.
