Wizz Air boosts winter season capacity


No-frills airline Wizz Air will offer 3.2 million seats on flights from Budapest in its winter timetable, 8% more than a year earlier, flying to 59 destinations, the company announced on Tuesday.
Between now and the end of March, Wizz Air plans to operate more than 6,800 flights from the Hungarian capital.
New destinations include Wroclaw, Gdansk, Bilbao, Tallinn, Vilnius, Turin, and Venice, while flights to Skopje and Billund will resume in March.
In its last fiscal year ending March 31, Wizz Air’s revenue rose by nearly 4% to €5.3 billion, while net profit fell to €213.9 million from €365.9 million.
The airline carried 62.8 million passengers in 2024.
