Time Out Market opening in Budapest

Budapest’s new culinary destination, Time Out Market, will officially open on Saturday in the renovated Corvin Palace at Blaha Lujza tér.

The food market, the first of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, will feature a range of dishes from street food to fine-dining plates at 11 restaurants and three bars on a 2,500m2 area.

The market is positioned as a central, experiential gastronomic destination in Budapest, combining multiple chefs, culinary styles, and premium ingredients, Pénzcentrum writes after journalists were given a preview of the site on Tuesday.

Starters and lighter dishes will cost some Ft 2,500-4,000, main courses Ft 3,500-8,000, and in the premium category, prices will be in the Ft 8,000-12,000 range. Cocktails will be priced at Ft 3,000-3,950, glasses of wine at Ft 1,350-1,950, and pezsgő from Ft 1,950 per decilitre.
