The seasonal route will run until October and will be operated with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, offering business, premium economy, and economy classes, with a total capacity of 234 passengers. Flights will depart Budapest at 11:25 a.m. local time and arrive in Philadelphia at 3:00 p.m. Return flights will leave the US city at 6:50 p.m., landing in Budapest at 9:25 a.m. on the following day. Since the collapse of Hungary’s national carrier Malév in 2012, direct transatlantic flights from Budapest have operated only intermittently. The government has worked to re-establish long-haul routes since taking over Budapest Airport last year.
