Highest degree heat warning in force
The highest degree heat alert will enter into force throughout Hungary from Thursday at dawn, Disaster Control and the National Health and Pharmaceutical Centre said in a joint statement on Wednesday.
The heat alert has been extended until midnight Saturday based on the latest forecast by HungaroMet.
According to the state meteorologist, the temperature could rise to 38C on Friday and Saturday, before falling by 10C on Sunday.
