Compensation okayed for Unitravel clients

The Budapest Government Office has authorised the start of compensation payments to customers of the bankrupt travel agency Unitravel, it was announced after a fast-track procedure.
The authority has since removed Unitravel from the official registry of travel organisers, and barred it from engaging in further activity.
As part of its ruling, the government office instructed Colonnade, the insurer contracted by Unitravel, to start paying compensation to affected travellers.
