Liverpool FC signs Hungarians

Liverpool football club, winner of the English Premier League last season, has signed Hungarian national team left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, the club’s official X account announced on Thursday.
While the club did not reveal details of the contract, the BBC reported the deal for the Serb-Hungarian dual citizen was for five years and worth £40 million.
Although Kerkez was born and raised in Serbia, he is eligible to play for Hungary as his maternal grandmother is Hungarian.
Kerkez wrote on Liverpool’s website that it was a real honour and privilege to play for one of the world’s biggest clubs. He vowed to do everything to win trophies and score goals for the club.
Kerkez is the second Hungarian arrival at Liverpool in this summer transfer period, the club having announced the signing of Puskás Academy 20-year-old goalkeeper Ármin Pécsi on June 7. Pécsi also signed a five-year contract.
At Liverpool, Kerkez and Pécsi will join Hungarian national team captain Domenik Szoboszlai.
