Dating site Puncs posts strong profits

Puncs, the Hungarian dating site known for linking wealthy “sugar daddies” with younger “sugar babies,” continues to generate solid profits despite recurring controversy.

Ntice, the company behind the platform, posted revenues of Ft 278 million in 2024, a slight increase from the previous year, while profits surged to Ft 106 million, up from Ft 92 million in 2023.

The site has faced criticism in the past, including a complaint from the Dialogue party accusing it of promoting prostitution, a case that was later dismissed.

Despite public scrutiny, the platform’s financial success continues, apparently driven by premium subscriptions and advertising.

Ntice is owned by Dating Central Europe, both led by Péter Weiler, a veteran of the Hungarian online market and founder of dating site Randivonal.

At the top of the ownership chain is Liechtenstein-registered Russmedia International, which acquired the company in 2019 from Gran Private Equity, formerly linked to MOL CEO Zsolt Hernádi.

Another related business, the Rich Group, runs Richlife and Richlove, targeting luxury buyers and wealthy daters.
