Anti-drug chief appalled by pro-pot party
The annual pro-marijuana demonstration staged by the Two-Tailed Dog Party on Sunday will be the last, government commissioner for eradicating the illegal drugs trade, László Horváth posted on Facebook on Sunday.
Horváth felt particularly annoyed, Telex writes, because this year the date of the annual worldwide celebration of marijuana, April 20, coincided with Easter Sunday.
“A marijuana demonstration on Easter Sunday! An outrageous and arrogant act of provocation: but this was the last one!” he declared on Facebook.
Zsuzsanna Döme, the pro-Dog Party deputy mayor of the Ninth District, said her message to the government is that designer drugs appeared in Hungary at least ten years ago and not yesterday.
She added that billions had been spent on political campaigns but no money was available for drug prevention. Later she said government had successfully eradicated the institutions of prevention in the past decade.
