Philippines job fair offers 3,000 jobs in Hungary
A job fair showcasing opportunities specifically in Hungary will be held on March 11 in Manila, the capital of the Philippine Islands.
The event will be open for applications for about 3,000 jobs in Hungary, including machine operators, welders, pipe fitters, hotel and restaurant workers, and factory workers, Népszava reports, citing Gulf News.
Registration quickly reached capacity by Saturday.
The Philippines-Hungary Friendship Week, backed by the Philippine Department of Foreign Employment, connects job seekers with work opportunities.
According to the organisers, applicants can expect to earn between €700 and €1,000 a month in Hungary.
The Philippines has been sending many guest workers to Hungary for years, including to such places as the Homokszentgyörgy dairy farm in Somogy county with 900 head of cattle.
Filipinos remain eligible despite tighter restrictions on non-EU workers from January 1.
