Gov’t spending Ft 1bn to renovate spa
The government has allocated Ft 1.3 billion in subsidy for the renovation of the cave spa in Miskolctapolca according to a decree published on Thursday.
Construction and Transport Minister János Lázár promised Ft 1 billion in state aid when he visited the city on January 15, as he pointed out that the facility is a major tourist attraction.
The spa, located in an outer district of Miskolc, was heavily damaged by fire last September due to an electrical short circuit.
Lázár declared that the baths must be reopened by June 30.
