Costes Group to open new high-end venue

The Costes Group’s newest venture, Vibe Budapest, is set to open on December 13 in central Pest following a Ft 1.25 billion investment, Forbes writes.

Costes owner Károly Gerendai, a founder of the Sziget Festival, told journalists that the project brings a new concept to Budapest, mixing culinary excellence with high-end entertainment.

He said guests will enjoy fusion cuisine with Asian and South American flavours, while live DJ sets will be complemented by performances from Colombian dancers and acrobats every half hour.

The 150-capacicty venue is located on Széchenyi tér, featuring panoramic views of the Chain Bridge and Buda Castle.

In an earlier interview with Forbes, Gerendai projected annual proceeds of Ft 2 billion from Vibe.

The pricing puts Vibe among the most upscale restaurants in Budapest with goulash soup priced at Ft 6,500, Pénzcentrum writes.

The soft opening in December begins with evening-only operations five days a week, with lunch services to be introduced later this month.
