Giant Lego tram rolls into Deák tér
The team put together by Budapest mass transit company BKV, Budapest Brand and Lego has produced a life-sized Lego tram, now on display on downtown Deák tér during the Advent season.
The tram car designed by master architect Balázs Dóczy was unveiled at the Ferenc-város train station on Wednesday morning, then taken to Deák tér.
The vehicle, comprising nearly 1.8 million blocks, is 11.5 metres long, two metres high and two metres wide.
A total of 90 people took part in its construction in 6,800 working hours.
The Lego tram will be parked on Deák tér from November 20 to December 20.
