LMP to quit European Green Party
LMP will quit the European Greens Party (EGP) as recently a severe difference developed between them over electromobility and the manufacture of batteries, the Hungarian party announced on Wednesday.
It said that the EGP, dominated by West-European greens, regards its policy solely as a green transition according to the interests of the core countries.
However, it said, LMP wants to protect Hungarian farmland, Hungarian water resources and the living environment of the Hungarian people.
The party stressed that LMP is not breaking with green politics, but with the green politics that wants to see all the benefits of the green transition in Western Europe and all its pollution in Eastern Europe.
