Magyar Posta plans to enter Croatia

State postal service company Magyar Posta has plans to engage in its profit-making activities in Croatia, CEO Barnabás Balczó told a press conference on Friday.

North Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Slovenia were indicated as potential markets in his presentation.

Magyar Posta achieved sales revenue of Ft 246 billion last year, while employing 2,300 fewer employees than in 2022, Economy Minister Márton Nagy announced.

Nagy recalled that when he became minister, he set the goal of rationalisation for Magyar Posta, and its staff numbers have since been reduced from 23,919 to 21,592, while 354 post offices at low frequented locations have been closed.
