Nagy warns MOL over fuel prices

Economy Minister Márton Nagy told representatives of MOL and the Crude Oil Association on Friday that they must lower their retail price for petrol as they are not honouring a promise to maintain prices similar to those in the region.

Observing that domestic prices are 7-9% higher than the regional average, he said fuel prices must return to the middle range as soon as possible.

Nagy said the Central Statistics Office will in the near future establish a public system for monitoring regional fuel prices, regularly presenting the price differences, thereby serving as a reference point for compliance with the agreement.
