Wizz Air launches VR technology in pilot training
Wizz Air has introduced VR technology in its pilot training, as approved by the Aviation Supervisory Authority, the Hungarian-based airline announced on Tuesday.
The innovative cloud-based software provides real-time experience in the cockpit, allowing trainees to learn everything about the Airbus aircraft.
Wizz Air plans to train an additional 4,000 pilots and first officers by 2030, and expand its fleet with 300 new Airbus A321neo aircraft and a long-range A321XLR aircraft, the company said.
At present, more than 2,600 pilots work for Wizz Air, which has a fleet of 206 planes.
