Housing market shows robust growth
Home sales were up 72% year-on-year to 10,754 in February, the highest figure in 20 months, real estate broker Duna House estimates.
Compared to January, transactions grew by 29%.
The increased activity in the real estate market is attributed to falling borrowing costs and new home purchase subsidy schemes.
Banks signed Ft 70 billion in mortgage contracts last month, down 5% from January, but more than twice as much as in February of last year, according to Duna House calculations.
