Hungary joins Diplomatic Fair

The ninth annual Diplomatic Fair will be held on November 24 in Budapest’s Hotel InterContinental, where, for the first time, there will be a Hungarian stand.

More than 50 embassies will present their countries’ specialities, from handicraft items to food and drink.

Visitors can buy fresh flowers from South Africa and fruit from Malaysia, which will be transported to Budapest especially for this occasion.

Performers come from 11 countries, Albania, Azerbaijan, Cyprus and Hungary among them. There will be a kid’s corner and a raffle, as is customary.

The Diplomatic Fair is a non-political event to which selflessness, objectivity and the co-operation of all participants is the key, organisers say.

The aim is to introduce the culture of the represented countries and to collect donations to support Hungarian communities and causes.

All proceeds from the event will go to charity organisations.
