Migrants caught at Romanian border

Romanian border police captured 38 migrants bound for Hungary near the Hungarian border, Magyar Hírlap reports.

Romanian officials stopped a group of ten migrants on the outskirts of Turnu yesterday, one day after stopping 28 migrants near Ciumesti.

The ten are Algerian and Palestinian citizens, while those caught on Sunday are Afghan nationals.

Proceedings were launched against two Romanian drivers for people-smuggling and against the migrants for attempting to cross the border illegally.
