NKM ends free e-car supercharging

NKM Mobilitás, a member of the state utility group NKM, will begin charging Ft 50 per minute for using its electric car super chargers on July 1, the state-owned company announced on Monday.

The fee applies to the 50kW DC and the 43kW AC chargers, while ordinary 22kW AC chargers will remain free to use.

The super chargers are a pilot project and the final price of charging depends on its success, the company underlined, adding that from now on supercharging will only be accessible through the mobile app NKM Mobiliti.

NKM Mobilitás has 86 public charging stations with a total of 177 sockets. Superchargers are available at 16 stations.
