Swine flu spreads to Hajdú-Bihar

African swine flu has reached Hajdú-Bihar county, where three wild boars were found infected near Nyírábrány and Álmosd on April 29, the food safety authority Nébih announced on Tuesday.

The affected area was already under close watch as outbreaks of the epidemic had occurred among farmed pigs in neighbouring Romania.

African swine flu has been present in Heves county since April 2018, in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg since May 2018 and in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén and Nógrád counties since October 2018.
