MÁV refrains from applying labour law

State railway company MÁV will not require employees to work 400 hours of overtime, as permitted by the new labour law, CEO Róbert Homolya told opposition politicians yesterday.

The decision was announced by MPs from the Socialist, Jobbik, Democratic Coalition, Dialogue and Liberal parties at a press conference outside MÁV headquarters.

The delegation extracted a similar promise from state energy company MVM last week and will visit Magyar Posta next week.
