Divers to look for Holocaust victims

Israeli divers will search the Danube for the remains of thousands of Hungarian Jews who were murdered in Budapest and thrown into the river during World War II, it was announced following a visit by Israeli Interior Minister Aryeh Deri.

Deri tweeted that the remains will be transported to Israel and buried there.

The Jerusalem Post reported that divers from Israel’s ZAKA team will soon begin searching the Danube with sonar devices.
