Hankook delays bonus payments

Hankook Tire informed its employees on December 21 that payment of bonuses would be postponed to January, as 2018 was a difficult year for the company.

A message posted on the notice board of the factory in Rácalmás, Fejér county, signed by CEO Hwang Seong Hak, said 2018 was a difficult year both locally and globally for Hankook and the factory’s targets were significantly missed, according to preliminary figures.

The bonuses will probably be Ft 100,000-200,000, similar to those paid in December 2017, Index writes.

The promised bonus had already been printed on the October wage slip, a disappointed worker pointed out.

The Rácalmás factory started production in 2007 and now produces an annual 19 million tyres.
