Momentum buries old law outside Orbán’s house

Momentum activists symbolically buried the old law on assembly outside Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s house before midnight Sunday.

New legislation which entered into force on Monday forbids demonstrations outside the homes of politicians.

“Fidesz aims with this amendment to remove themselves even farther from general people’s opinion and provide as few opportunities as possible for a free expression of opinion,” Momentum said.

A few minutes before midnight Momentum activists walked to Orbán’s Buda home and buried the old law with candles and wreaths.
