Budapest rises on destination list



Budapest is the world’s 32nd most popular city destination for tourists, up from 39th one year earlier, according to the 2017 Mastercard Global Destination Cities Index.

Nearly 6 million foreigners stayed an average of five days in Budapest in 2017, and spent an average of $103 a day.

The destination list is led by Bangkok with over 20 million foreign tourists, followed by London with slightly less than 20 million and Paris with 17.5 million.

The average daily spending list is led by Dubai with $537, followed by Paris with $301 and Singapore at $286.
