Freight train faster from Xiamen

A freight train that set off from Xiamen, China with 41 containers on Monday will arrive in Budapest in 17 days, the Chinese news agency Xinhua reports.

The train follows a new route and no longer stops in Xian, cutting three days from the travel time.

The first scheduled train between Xiamen and Budapest departed on January 19. Xiamen now has direct cargo train connections to five European cities, including Budapest.
