Fewer Hungarians plan to work abroad

Among Hungarian employees, 35% are ready to work abroad, down from 58% four years ago, according to a survey by the Boston Consulting Group and recruitment agency Professio.

As part of a study in 197 countries, 12,443 employees in Hungary were surveyed.

Among young people under 20 the figure willing to emigrate is outstandingly high, at 66%. Above-average readiness to work abroad was registered among IT experts at 46%, business administration at 44%, media at 43% and PhD holders, with a 40% score.

The desire to work abroad has also fallen in the other Visegrád countries over the last four years, from 85% to 66% in the Czech Republic, 60% to 42% in Slovakia and 85% to 48% in Poland.
