Chinese firm offered Hungarian residence permits

A Chinese company whose owner earlier took part in the residency bond programme is promoting a new Hungarian immigration project, website Direkt36 reported.

After the article was posted on Wednesday, the advertisements were deleted from the popular Chinese website where they had been posted.

A Hong Kong company called LSP International had been offering Hungarian residence permits since April 21 to anyone who invested Ft 25 million in Hungarian property and paid a €50,000 fee.

The Government Information Office issued a statement after the article was posted, saying “the programme is simply a lie, and the Foreign Ministry will take the necessary steps against the company in question.”

The ministry also affirmed that the state does not support any similar programmes.

LSP International told Direkt36 on Thursday afternoon that it had terminated this type of activity weeks ago.

LSP primarily assists Chinese investors in Hungary in searching for property or property investment projects, in applying for residence permits and other matters.
