Police to hold 24-hour speed marathon

Hungarian police have joined the speed marathon initiative of the European traffic police network Tispol, meaning that they will perform a 24-hour speed enforcement operation between 6 a.m. on May 14 and 6 a.m. on May 15 in an effort to prevent accidents due to speeding.

The police welcome citizens’ suggestions for the monitoring locations. E-mails should be sent to the police with the proposals by May 3.

As all speed monitoring locations will be announced on May 11, speed monitoring should not come as a surprise for drivers.
