Electronics retailer Euronics has opened a new, 1200m2 store in Zalaegerszeg, its 69th in Hungary, a brownfield investment costing Ft 290 million.

The number of workers at Euronics stores across the country will rise to 1,250, as 25 people will start working at the new unit, said managing director Zsolt Fazekas.

Euronics shops are operated by Vöröskő. The company registered Ft 58.4 billion in turnover in 2016, a 7.5% increase from the previous year. After-tax profits rose to Ft 674 million. The company estimates that sales growth in 2017 came to 14%.
