LOT plans frequent flights to Krakow

Polish airline LOT will operate flights almost daily between Budapest and Krakow this summer, Budapest Airport announced on Thursday.

LOT will deploy 78-seater Bombardier Q400 aircraft to fly between the two cities five days a week from April 28 until May 20 and then six times in the summer timetable until October 27.

The new flights mean a potential 30,000 additional travellers annually, according to Budapest Airport’s director of development Kam Jandu.

LOT will also operate flights between Budapest and New York from May 3 and between Budapest and Chicago from May 5, restoring direct air links between Hungary and the US.
