Central transport ticket system to come

A unified national electronic public transport ticket system will be established, according to a bill passed by Parliament on Tuesday.

The central system will unify all national, regional, commuting and local transport ticket systems when it begins operations, scheduled for December 2019.

The system will make community car rental schemes possible, based on the model of city bicycle rent networks.

State infrastructure development company NIF will build hubs to connect different modes of public transport, thereby easing transfers for passengers.
